I love to bring you guys the latest news and reviews whether it be apps or gadgets, but hosting and maintaining a website can be expensive. Received game from developer and/or publisher for coverage purposes. If you’re a fan of motocross, this is definitely a game you should consider picking up. I love the variety of tracks MX Nitro: Unleashed offers along with all the possible tricks you can pull off and learn. There is tons of content to play and unlock and I love the fact that you can customize the way your rider and bile looks, even though none of that really affects actual gamepley. Like I said above, it’s a pretty exciting game that really gets your heart pounding and your adrenaline going. All racing type games suffer from this on the Switch.Īll-in-all, MX Nitro: Unleashed is one heck of a fun game to play, even though most of it is solo play. It makes the game a bit less precise, but again that has to do with the Switch and less with the game. You’re only allowed to only apple full throttle or no throttle at all. The lack of analog triggers means you can’t vary your speeds while you race. While MX Nitro: Unleashed seems pretty solid, there is one issue with the game and that mainly has to do with the Nintendo Switch itself. It also seems like you don’t need Nintendo Online to play online. Online races however unlock as you complete certain race tracks. If you want to race against real people, you can only race online and not locally. That’s not a bad thing at all because it just means you have to get better and you can’t really get better if all you’re doing is winning. They really give you a run for your money and often times, you’ll need to run some races over and over again because of how good they can be. The NPCs in the game are no slouches either. There’s always some reason to get you to play. You also start unlocking new tricks, new bikes, new cosmetic items. You gradually learn how to ride, how to do certain tricks, how to gain nitro, etc. What I like is that they gradually ease you into it as you play through the solo missions. Whether it’s racing head-to-head against other riders to see who makes it to the finish line first or a race based on who has the highest trick score, it’s all very heart pounding. In terms of gameplay, most of what you’re doing is racing motor bikes. There’s just something about the look of the game combined with the soundtrack that makes MX Nitro: Unleashed seem so exciting. Not only that, the environments you race on are very good ranging from open, natural tracks to more extreme indoor tracks. It’s pretty realistic looking thanks to its accurate character models and motorcycle models. MX Nitro: Unleashed is a great looking game. The soundtrack totally fits the extreme theme of the game, not to mention the announcer that helps keep you hyped and motivated. Part of that has to do with nonstop rocking soundtrack. By that I mean the game is louder, larger, and more exciting. MX Nitro: Unleashed also seems like it has more showbiz flare to it. This is another highly popular motocross game, but that game is more about obstacle type races whereas MX Nitro seems a bit more fast paced. I’ll start this off by saying that MX Nitro: Unleashed will often compared to the Trials series. There’s even a solo mode which has over 40 hours worth of story content to play through. MX Nitro: Unleashed features fast-paced, physics-based motocross racing along with head-to-head boss battles. This version of the game includes everything the original game had on other platforms, along with brand new tracks, bosses, outfits, and more. MX Nitro: Unleashed is the definitive edition of the arcade sport motocross game for the Nintendo Switch.
